How close is Camp Sandusky to Cedar Point?
We are just six miles from Cedar Point. That’s usually less than a ten-minute drive.
Do you have a shuttle to get us to Cedar Point?
No, we do not have a shuttle, but many local taxi services can take the whole family to the park.
Do you sell discounted Cedar Point tickets?
No, you must buy admission tickets directly from Cedar Point.
What are your office hours?
The office opens from 9:00 AM until at least 9:00 PM daily. The office will remain open later on Fridays and Saturdays.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
You can check in between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM. You must check out before 11:00 AM.
Are there bathrooms and showers in your cabins?
No, but we have two all-modern bathroom and shower facilities just a short walk away.
How old do you have to be to stay at Camp Sandusky?
You must be 18 to rent any cabin or campsite.
What activities do you offer for children?
Camp Sandusky offers a swimming pool (Open Memorial Day – Labor Day), a playground, sand volleyball, gem mining, and our famous bunny farm, where kids can pet and feed the bunnies. We also have pedal carts available for rent.
When does the pool open/close for the season?
Our pool is generally open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Are pets allowed at your campground?
We allow dogs or cats inside RVs and in our pet-friendly cabins. We do not allow pets in tents or at tent sites. If reserving a cabin, please make sure to book a pet-friendly cabin. Pets must be registered during check-in and kept on a leash.
Can we bring our firewood?
No, The Ohio Department of Agriculture has asked us not to allow guests to bring outside firewood to the campground. We have local firewood for sale at our camp store.
Do you accept mail deliveries?
We cannot accept or sign for campground guests’ mail or packages. Please make arrangements with the Post Office for mail delivery.
Is Camp Sandusky near fishing sites?
Yes, we are just 2 miles from Lake Erie, and many great fishing locations are within 10 minutes of the campground. We have maps and information available at the front desk. Fishing without a license is available at Lagoon Deer Park for just $8/adult.
