Looking for campground info before you book? Camp Sandusky is a family-friendly campground in Sandusky, Ohio, located about 6 miles from Cedar Point and other Sandusky/Lake Erie Islands attractions. We offer RV sites, tent camping, and Amish-built cabins, providing guests with a practical, affordable place to stay near some of the area’s most popular destinations.
Camping at Camp Sandusky starts with convenience. Guests can access free fiber Wi-Fi throughout the campground, and nearly all of our sites are shaded by mature trees. Most sites include a picnic table and fire ring, while shared charcoal grills are located throughout the campground. Campground Info for RV Camping
Camp Sandusky offers back-in, pull-through, and Wide RV sites, including options for larger RVs. Electrical service varies by site. RV sites have either 20- and 30-amp service or 20-, 30-, and 50-amp service. Check the individual site description for available electrical service, hookups, dimensions, and layout. A dump station is available on site for registered guests. Many RV sites are shaded and include picnic tables and fire rings. Select Wide RV sites allow tents, but tents are not permitted on standard RV sites unless specifically noted in the site description.
Campground Info for Cabins
Our cozy Amish-built cabins are a popular option for Cedar Point vacations and Sandusky getaways, accommodating 2 to 6 guests per unit. All cabins include electricity, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Some cabins have air conditioning, some include a mini-fridge, and select cabins are pet-friendly.
Please note that cabins do not have private bathrooms, showers, or running water inside. However, bathhouse facilities are located just a short walk away. Cabin guests should bring their own bed linens and pillows. If you are staying in a non-air-conditioned cabin during the summer, we recommend bringing a box fan. A limited number of box fans are available to rent at the office.
Campground Info for Tent Camping
Electric tent sites include electricity, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Pets are not allowed in tents or at tent sites. One tent is allowed per site unless the site description states otherwise, and tents, ropes, and stakes must remain within your assigned site boundaries.
Before You Book
You must be at least 18 years old to rent a campsite or cabin. Check-in begins at 2:00 PM, and check-out is before 11:00 AM. Late arrivals can often be arranged in advance if your balance is paid in full before arrival. Office hours vary by season, holidays, special events, and campground occupancy.
